Lava Centre
Lava Centre is dedicated to Iceland‘s riveting volcanic activity and its frequent earthquakes, and is the contries most awarded exhibition in Iceland. They feature cinema displays, interactive interviews and graphic information. Go over the history of eruptions in Iceland and display different kinds of lava and tephra types - a great place to learn about the nature that surrounds you in the road in Iceland.
They also serve as a hub for day trips and tours in South Iceland and as a Tourist Information Centre for the region. and offer long term parking if KuKu campers are going on trips into Þórsmörk or Landmannalaugar.
