Toilets are all around and accessible to traveling tourists. In gas stations, campsites, at local swimming pools, restaurants and even in stores. It´s strictly forbidden to do your stuff outdoors as this will bother follow travelers. For showers, you can use them at campsites, or we recommend the local swimming pools. These pools are cheap, outdoors and really really relaxing.

We recommend that each customer gets familiar with the safetravel.is & Visit Iceland. There is a lot of good information there regarding driving in the highlands and driving in Iceland in general. Also please watch out for speed limits, don’t rush! It is not worth the speeding ticket and your safety. We highly recommend that you check the Iceland weather radar and road conditions each day as both can change frequently and where you were planning to go might not be possible anymore.
